White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders defended US President Donald Trump after he was accused of mocking Dr Christine Blasey Ford, saying he was ‘simply pointing out the facts’, while giving a press conference in Washington DC on Wednesday.
Sanders also said both Dr. Ford and Judge Brett Kavanaugh, who stands accused of sexual harassment by the former, were ‘victims at the hands of the Democrats’ who ‘exploited this process.’
“Every single word that Judge Kavanaugh has said, has been looked at, examined, picked apart by most of you in this room, but no one is looking at whether or not the accusations made are corroborated, whether or not there’s evidence to support them,” said Sanders.
“Every person that she named has come out saying either they didn’t recall it or didn’t happen or weren’t there. Every single bit of evidence and facts that we’ve seen in this moment have supported Judge Kavanaugh’s case. And the president simply pointed out the facts of the matter,” she added.
