Uttar Pradesh Government today provided agricultural land and housing facilities to the 63 Hindu families who took refuse from Bangladesh in the state 52 years back. In a function in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed agricultural and residential land with the official papers along with allotment letters for houses under ‘Mukhayamantri Awaas Yojana’ to rehabilitate 63 refugee families from Bangladesh who came here in 1970.
All these families from Bangladesh have been provided two acres of agricultural land, a lease of 200-square metre of land, and one house and toilet each under Mukhymantri Aawas Yojana in Rasulabad area of Kanpur Dehat district.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government passed the act to provide citizenship and for the rehabilitation of the people of minority community who came from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan and this is the result of the act that Uttar Pradesh government is successfully moving the procedure of rehabilitation of Hindu families.
