Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is performing the day-long special Puja on Vijayadashmi at Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur today. Sh. Yogi Adityanath is also the chief priest of Gorakhnath temple where the festival of victory of good over evil, Vijayadashami, is celebrated with full religious fervor. Sh. Adityanath will take part in various religious rituals throughout the day.
In the evening, Sh. Adityanath as the chief priest of Goraksha Peeth will lead a Rath Yatra through the streets of the city. His army of saints and priests will follow him amid the loud holy chants. The Rath Yatra will culminate in Mansarovar Ramlila ground, a few kilometers away from the temple, with Yogi Adityanath performing Rajtilak of Shri Ram and Laxman.
