A delegation of ten Union Ministers is visiting different blocks of various districts in both the divisions of Jammu and Kashmir, on the sixth consecutive day today. The visit is a part of Centre’s mission of special Public Outreach Programme. The ministers are scheduled to inaugurate several developmental projects, besides holding public interactions throughout the day. The projects include inauguration of heritage lights from Dalgate to Hazratbal in Srinagar, multiple water supply schemes across J&K, playfields, Girl’s hostels, roads and foundation of Tehsil offices.
Union ministers G. Kishen Reddy, Ravi Shanker Prasad and Shripad Naik are visiting Manigam Ganderbal, Baramulla and Srinagar in Kashmir division.
Minister of communication Ravi Shankar Prasad had detailed meeting with officers of district administration at Baramulla in North Kashmir. He met several deputations comprising cross-section of people who apprised him about various issues and problems.
The minister assured appropriate action in due course of time. The minister also e-inaugurated Indoor stadium at Baramulla and also laid foundation stone of sports stadium in the district.
Over a period of almost a week now, over thirty Union ministers have visited across length and breadth of Jammu and Kashmir. The Ministers are there to disseminate information about various developmental projects and welfare initiatives of the government. Two hundred and ten works have also been inaugurated. The visit of ministers has seen a positive response so far. The programme will culminate tomorrow on 24th of January.
