Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said that the Government of India has identified of the the toy sector champion sectors with a long-term vision and plan to develop toy clusters in the country. Speaking at the closing ceremony of India Toy Fair this evening, Mr Goyal said, the mission is not only to make India Atmanirbhar in toys, but also to become a global player with toys made and developed in India, helping create brand India across as one the world.
He said, Indian toys not only showcase our rich culture and but heritage, potential in the training of our children to develop their minds. The also have huge Minister said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated this movement as a part of Atmanirbhar Bharat to inculcate the true potential of toys ecosystem of toys in India. He said, the potential the toy industry holds to help our youth evolve in their formative years was recognised by and to develop the the Prime Minister.
The India Toy Fair also hosted a Toy Design Challenge. There were 225 entries in the Toy Design challenge in two categories Professional and Amateur. In each category, there were cash prizes of Rs one lakh, Rs 50 thousand and Rs 25 thousand to the first, second and third prize and winners Certificate of recognition.
In the Professional category, Aditya Gupta got the first prize, Garima Kaushik got the second prize while Aditi Ganpati got the third prize. In the Amateur category, Navya Shukla got the first prize, Sanjana Ramakrishnan second and Esha Vijayan third prize.
