Union Minister Annapurna Devi objects to Allahabad HC judge’s remarks in attempt to rape case

Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi today objected to an Allahabad High Court’s Judge comments in an attempt to rape case and described them as inappropriate. She said such observations would send the wrong message to society. Talking to media outside Parliament, the Minister added that this kind of remarks will have an adverse impact on various judgements related to such cases and it will promote the mentality of doing wrong. She also said that the government will take cognizance of such observations by the Judge.

Earlier, Justice Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra, while hearing a case related to rape had made some comments which have created outrage.
