Tripura Celebrates 78th Independence Day With Patriotism & Tradition

The northeastern state of Tripura also joined the rest of the country to celebrate the 78th Independence Day with full patriotism, traditional fervour and gaiety today. Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha hoisted the National Flag at the main state-level programme at Assam Rifles ground at Agartala. He inspected the parade and also took a salute from the marching contingents of State Police, Tripura State Rifles, Border Security force, Women contingent of TSR battalion, CRPF, Assam police, Assam Rifles, and NCC boys among others. Later addressing the gathering, he said, new avenues are opening for Tripura’s development through a transparent administration under the current BJP government. He asserted that steps have been taken for Infrastructure development, human development, women empowerment, education, the health sector, employment issues, farmers’ welfare and more. He elaborately discussed various schemes implemented by the government for state development and the dividends drawn from them. He expressed hope that with everyone’s joint effort, the goals for the Prime Minister’s Viksit Bharat scheme and Ek Tripura Sresth Tripura will be achieved.
