Tough IPL auction ahead for CSK, can’t retain all former teammates, says Dhoni

In Singapore for the launch of his cricket academy, Mahendra Singh Dhoni spoke of Chennai Super Kings’ return after their two-year ban ends with IPL 2018. He reiterated his special bond with the team and admitted that they would have to build a competitive unit.

Repeating his thoughts from a CSK promotional event in Chennai a day before where he had spoken about Chennai and CSK being very special to him, “You know, I can’t think (of) not coming to CSK,”

“A lot of people approached me, I can tell you that. And as I said, it’s (coming to CSK) because of everything, you know, what we have been through (achievements), how we have conducted ourselves, how the management has been, how the players have been, how the fans have been.”
