The government has informed that there is a decline of 34.5 percent in ATM Frauds in recent years. Replying to a question in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Finance Dr Bhagwat Karad said, Scheduled Commercial Banks have reported to the Reserve Bank of India that only 68 crore rupees are involved under the category of ATM Frauds in 2021-22 against 116 Crore rupees in the year 2019-20. He said comprehensive steps have been taken to strengthen security of digital transactions and to stop cyber frauds.
