Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program at 11 am Sunday explaining the sanctity of the month of Magh. We have to understand our collective responsibility regarding water. Water is also life for us, faith and stream of development.
Self-sufficiency is the first condition, to be proud of the things of our country
PM Modi said through the Mann Ki Baat program, the first condition of self-reliance is to be proud of the things of our country. To be proud of the objects made by the people of our country. He said that when every countryman takes pride in the things made in his country and joins him, then ‘self-reliant India’ becomes a ‘national spirit’ rather than just an economic campaign. During the Magh days, people leave their homes and families and go to Kalpavas on the banks of rivers for the whole month. Also said that water is more important than Paras in a way. PM Modi also remembered Sant Ravidas. He said that it is my good fortune that I am connected to Varanasi, the birthplace of Sant Ravidas ji. Whenever the month of Magh and its spiritual social significance is discussed, it is not complete without Sant Ravidas ji.
