In Tamil Nadu, regular colleges will reopen for students from today after being shut since April last year to contain the spread of Covid-19. Schools for students of 9th and 11th standard will also begin from today. The Department of Education has issued an order for colleges to function for six days which would enable teachers to cover the syllabus for the academic year.
The Government has stated that regulations regarding the seating arrangements should be followed due to Covid-19. Arrangements have been made to monitor the temperature level of students, use of face mask and hand sanitisers.
The schools have also asked students to get permission letters from their parents to attend school. The option of attending online classes has also been given to sick students or those who are affected with Covid.
