Tamil Nadu Minister Senthil Balaji sent to judicial custody till June 28 in money laundering case

Tamil Nadu Electricity and Prohibition and Excise Minister Senthil Balaji has been sent to judicial custody till June 28 by Sessions Court, in connection with a money laundering case. However, the court permitted the minister to continue his medical treatment in hospital till further orders.

The Enforcement Directorate had arrested Senthil Balaji in the early hours today after 16 hours of inquiry yesterday. He was admitted to the hospital on complaints of severe chest pain.

The Omandurar Government Hospital has recommended a bypass surgery for the arrested State Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji who is undergoing treatment since early this morning.

The doctors did an angiogram to the ailing Minister today morning.

Tamilnadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, his cabinet colleagues and DMK members of Parliament met Senthil Balaji who is admitted at ICU at the hospital.
