Chennai: The Covid-19 restrictions will remain in force throughout the state until the government issues orders, said the Government of Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
The Tamil Nadu government has appointed a expert group to take decisions regarding the restrictions amid Coronavirus outbreak. The expert group will consult Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami and take decisions accordingly about the restrictions in the state after April 20. The expert group will present the first set of advisory comments to the Chief Minister by Monday.
This announcement by the TN government comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to ease some of the lockdown restrictions throughout the country. The Centre has also said that the states can take autonomous decisions on easing the restrictions according to the intensity of the Covid-19 outbreak in the state.
