State is taking every precaution to counter the Covid third wave: Karnataka CM Yediyurappa

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has said that the state is taking every precaution to counter the Covid third wave. Speaking to media persons in Shivamogga yesterday, he said, a Committee headed by well known Cardiologist Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty will soon submit its recommendations on steps to be taken to defuse the impact of the Covid third wave.
The state has already decided to set up 75 bed ICU wards for children in every District. There were 9785 new Covid cases and 144 deaths reported yesterday in the state. At the same time 21,614 persons were discharged after recovery from the infection. The Positivity rate was 6.61 percent and Case fatality rate was at 1.47 per cent.
