The Sixth India-China Strategic Economic Dialogue will be held in New Delhi from today.
The three-day Dialogue will comprise of round table meetings of Joint Working Groups on infrastructure, energy, high-tech, resource conservation, pharmaceuticals and policy coordination.
An official release said the Indian side will be led by Vice-Chairman of NITI Aayog and the Chinese side by Chairman of National Development and Reforms Commission. Senior representatives from policymaking, industry and academia will participate in the dialogue from both sides.
Set up between erstwhile Planning Commission and National Development and Reform Commission of China during the visit of Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao to India in December 2010, the Strategic Economic Dialogue has served as an effective mechanism for enhancing bilateral practical cooperation.
