Seven Indian Army soldiers killed, 19 injured in an accident in Leh District

In Ladakh, seven army jawans were killed and 19 critically injured in a bus accident near Turtuk, Nubra.

An accident took place this morning when the bus driver lost control and skid off the road and plunged into the Shyok river.

Sources said, 26 soldiers of 22 Maratha Li were moving from Partapur Transit Camp to a forward location in Sub Sector Hanif in Turtuk Sector, this morning.

Seven soldiers were found dead on the spot in the accident. 19 critically injured were taken to the Hunder field unit.

After administering first aid, the injured were shifted to Chandigarh by army service aircraft.
