In football, hosts India sealed the top spot in Group B of the SAFF U-19 Championship with a dominant 4-0 win over Nepal in Yupia, Arunachal Pradesh yesterday.
Rohen Singh Chaphamayum scored twice, while Omang Dodum and Danny Meitei added one each, with India netting two goals in each half. India finished the group stage with six points from two matches and a goal difference of 12.
Nepal, with three points, also advanced as group runners-up. In the semi-finals on Friday, India will face Maldives, runners-up of Group A, while Bangladesh, Group A winners, will take on Nepal.
