Today, under the initiative of ‘Student For Development’ (SFD), a cleanliness drive was carried out at Lachit Ghat in Guwahati city with the theme “My Sunday for Guwahati” despite of the inclement weather from 6.30 am. While several ABVP activists reached Lachit Ghat in the wee hours of the morning and carried out the cleanliness drive in the area.
It is noteworthy that the movement that has been working for the protection and awareness of the environment by ABVP throught SFD. SFD is the gatividhi of ABVP through which it has been working for the protection and awareness of the environment across India. As part of that, S.F.D. is planning for various environmental awareness programmes every Sunday in different parts of Guwahati city. Today, a cleanliness drive was held at Lachit Ghat. In this cleaning campaign National Co-convenor of S.F.D Shilpa Kumari and Secretary of the ABVP Guwahati Mahanagar Shri Swapnaneel Haloi were specially present.
