Rescue and relief operations in full swing in the flood-affected areas of Madhya Pradesh

In Madhya Pradesh, the rescue and relief operations are continuing in full swing in the flood-affected areas. NDRF, SDRF, Army and BSF teams have rescued more than 6,000 people from 240 affected villages in Northern MP. Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and Home Minister Amit Shah today spoke with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and enquired about the present situation.

more than 1,000 villages have been affected in Shivpuri, Sheopur, Datia, Gwalior, Bhind districts due to excessive rains and floods. Chief Minister also took stock of flood-affected villages through aerial tour in Gwalior and Chambal divisions. Adequate arrangements for supply of food, water and accommodation are being made for people who have been rehabilitated in the relief camps. Chief Minister informed that the Centre is providing full help to State for relief work.
