Renowned journalist and Chartered Accountant Swaminathan Gurumurthy dared to be politically incorrect when he didn’t mince his words to say, “DNA of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) was against India. Hence, it should be reformed or it should be shut.” Apolitical common citizen—whose national pride was humiliated to hear the slogan of भारत तेरे टुकड़ें होंगें, इंशा अल्लाह, इंशा अल्लाह (O India, you are doomed to be broken into pieces)in JNU—hailed Gurumurthy as they felt connected to his outburst.
In 1969, when Congress Party was divided and the Communist party supported Indira Gandhi to form the government, they put forward only one condition. Communist party demanded education department and Indira Gandhi obliged them. Noor Haasan became the education minister. The same year, brain child of Noor Haasan, JNU was founded. From then, anti India, leftists corrupted our education, specially our history books when they glorified Islamic attackers and demeaned Hindu kings and emperors.
Students shouting anti India slogans and committing violence are not new phenomena in JNU. In 1982, JNU turned against the Congress party as well as the country. Hence, Indian government was forced to send policemen inside JNU to control students, who were rioting inside the campus. Indira Gandhi, the then prime minister, shut the Jawaharlal University for 43 days.
Indeed, JNU badly needs to be reformed, shutting it down is certainly not a viable option. Left leaning students dare to indulge in anti India activities in JNU because they are emboldened by Leftist educators and faculty members. JNU is badly infested with Urban Naxals and anti India leftists who dare to celebrate martyrdom of our brave security personnel at hands of Naxalites and enemy of the state.
The only way to reform Jawaharlal University is to replace anti India Leftist and Urban Naxals educators and faculty members with nationalist ones. The way communist party demanded Education Department from Indira Gandhi to corrupt it with anti India elements, the present government must cleanse the education system with nationalist educators, who can teach the students “first duty of a citizen is to respect motherland.” Nation is deeply hurt, humiliated and frustrated to hear from JNU—भारत की बर्बादी तक जंग रहेगी. It is time to teach India our ancient glorious history and how our lands were attacked and invaded.
