The states of Washington, Oregon, and California on the west coast of the United States have been absolutely ravaged by the wildfires at the moment. Around seven people have lost their lives due to this.

Clearly, 2020 has not been a banner year for anyone. With the pandemic at its peak and earthquakes happening quite consistently, it was only a matter of time when wildfires decided to make their presence felt. California is no stranger to them this year as the state has gotten its share of the same quite a lot this time.

While it is wreaking havoc on human lives, its adverse effects can be seen in the skies as well. In San Francisco, the people woke up to an orange-colored sky. The hue was so pronounced that it is safe to say that it was nothing short of apocalyptic and scary. Photos from the city went viral on the internet. Twitter was flooded with ‘orange skies’ and they were shared extensively by netizens.

It was revealed that a Gender Reveal party that took place in California is what sparked the fire. The couple set off a smoke bomb which resulted in the fire on the wild dry grass. According to the governor of Oregon, Kate Brown, the state has witnessed great damage to life and property due to this wildfire.
