The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will house 3,600 figurines based on Hindu Shastras. “Beautiful Statues are being carved on stone based on Shastra stories. They will later be pasted on pillars, bases and other designated places in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, according to the construction schedule,” said the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust on Twitter, along with photographs of sculptures.
The ground floor of the Ram temple building work has been finished. The sanctum sanctorum of Lord Ram will be finished by December 2023, making the Ram temple partially complete by late 2023. After Makar Sankranti in January 2024, the sanctum sanctorum will be available to worshippers, reported HS.
The Ramlala statue will be 51 inches tall and will be put on a platform erected in the sanctum sanctorum. According to temple trust sources, the size of the Ram temple complex has been increased to 110 acres from the trust’s original 67-acre property. This was done to include several religious and vaastu aspects.
The whole Ram temple complex in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, is projected to cost Rs 1,000 crore. The trust faces a difficult job in constructing a Ram temple that rivals the magnificence and durability of historic Hindu temples.
Several religious motifs will be depicted on the walls of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. A council of religious leaders and art experts including those from New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, will decide on the topics. Because copper joints do not corrode, they will be utilised to keep the walls together instead of steel ones, according to the suggested proposal.
On August 5, 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the temple in a magnificent event. In addition to the main temple, the complex will include a museum, digital archives, and a research facility.
