Rajnath Singh’s googly to Shahid Afridi: ‘They can’t manage Pakistan, how will they manage Kashmir?’

Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi sparked controversy over his statement on Kashmir. Afridi in a viral video said “Pakistan doesn’t need Kashmir, as it cannot manage its own four provinces” and imposed that Kashmir be given “independence”. As per the reports, Afridi in the video was addressing to students in London. And now, responding on the same, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that the former Pakistan skipper is ‘right’.

News agency IndSamachar quoted Rajnath saying, “What he said is right. They are unable to manage Pakistan, how will they manage Kashmir? Kashmir is and will always be a part of India.”

In the video, Afridi further can also be heard saying Pakistan is not interested in Kashmir and since the country is against giving it to India, the region should be given independence. “I say Pakistan doesn’t want Kashmir. Don’t give it to India either. Let Kashmir be independent. At least humanity will be alive. Let people not die.”

Afridi has been vocal about the Kashmir issue since many years. Afridi earlier questioned killings in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and appealed to UN to look into the matter.
