Rajasthan government has decided to recruit one thousand Medical Officers and 25 thousand para medical staff on urgent contract basis to deal with the Covid pandemic. These medical personal will be deployed in Primary health centers and Community Health centers. The decision was taken at a high level Covid review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
The government has already decided to develop 345 CHCs as Covid consultation centers. It has also been decided to develop facility of 10 ICU beds with high flow oxygen facility and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at block level CHCs. The arrangement of 10 oxygen concentrators at CHCs and 5 oxygen concentrators will be made available at PHCs. The chief minister has directed to strengthen health facilities in rural areas to provide Covid treatment of rural people.
