Prime Minister Modi Acknowledges Telangana’s Cheriyal Nakashi Artist D Vaikuntam In Mann Ki Baat

D Vaikuntam, an acclaimed Cheriyal Nakashi painter of Telangana has expressed his immense happiness about Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioning about his efforts in the art in today’s Mann ki Baat. Speaking to Akashvani Correspondent, he said this will bring identity and eminence to the Cherial Nakashi art form across the World. He shared that he has been practising the Nakashi art form for the past 50 years and his ancestors protected the art form for hundreds of years and the art and skill are coming down to generations. He expressed his immense happiness that the world is going to know about the unique art form as the Prime Minister himself mentioned about it.
