Prime Minister Calls For Employing Techonology And New Innovations In Judicial System To Provide Justice For All

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that to make justice as simple and clear as possible is a collective responsibility. However, the processes make it difficult, he added. The Prime Minister was addressing the closing ceremony of the Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Rajasthan High Court in Jodhpur this evening. Mr. Modi said that the country has taken many historic and decisive steps towards simplifying justice delivery. He said the government has repealed many laws that have become obsolete. Referring to the recent changes made in the criminal laws, the Prime Minister said that these reforms are the need of the hour. He said that today the dreams of the country are big and the aspirations of the countrymen are also big. He said that it is very important to make new reforms and modernise the systems for the creation of a new India. He said that technology is playing an important role in our judicial system. The e-court project is the biggest example of this. He said that today more than 18 thousand courts in the country have been computerized. He said that these changes have provided a great relief to the common citizen. The Prime Minister said that the provision of alternative dispute mechanisms will promote ease of living as well as ease of justice. Mr. Modi said that the judiciary of the country has continuously played the moral responsibility of being vigilant and active on national issues. From the High Court to the Supreme Court, the judiciary has strengthened the resolution of the nation first on important issues many times, he said. On this occasion, the Prime Minister virtually inaugurated the museum of the Rajasthan High Court. He also launched the ‘TWARIT’ programme. Governor of Rajasthan Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde was also present at the function. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Senior Judge of the Supreme Court Sanjeev Khanna, Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal, and Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court Justice MM Shrivastava also addressed the programme.
