Primary schools across Kashmir valley set to reopen today

In Jammu and Kashmir, situation remained peaceful today barring some minor stray incidents. Briefing media person in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir Government spokesperson Rohit Kansal said, primary schools will re-open today in Kashmir valley. Besides full functionality of Government offices across the valley will also be restored. 
Mr Kansal said, no untoward incident was reported in areas where relaxation was provided. He however said, there were minor reports of two-three disturbances in areas where relaxations were not provided and were dealt with by local security agencies. 

He said, two persons received minor injuries in these incidents. The spokesperson said, State Administration has received reports of hooligans and mischievous elements forcing shopkeepers in certain areas to keep their establishments closed. He said, appropriate action will be taken against such elements. Mr Kansal said that administration will try that landline communication is restored to its full functionality as soon as possible in Kashmir Valley.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh said, the police is maintaining pressure on terrorists to isolate them. In an interview to a news agency, the DGP thanked the people of state for their cooperation in maintaining law and order. 

2G mobile Internet services were once again snapped in five districts of Jammu region today, a day after the services were restored. According to police sources, the decision was taken to check rumour-mongering and maintain peace and tranquillity.
