President Murmu Calls For More Research In Ayurveda At Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya

President Droupadi Murmu has called for more research into Ayurveda as it has been an integral part of people’s lives. She said many old diseases get cured by Ayurveda treatment for which a large number of people in our country still believe in this system of medicines.

Speaking at the 75th foundation day of Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in Puri this morning, the President said the Ayush Ministry of the Central Government is making all-out efforts to popularise Ayurveda and Yoga in the country to keep the people free from diseases and healthy. The President is in Puri of Odisha to attend the Navy Day organised by the Indian Navy at the Blue Flag Beach. Earlier in the day, President Murmu visited the 12th Century Sri Jagannath Temple in the holy town of Puri. She offered prayers to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra inside the temple and visited the premises along with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other dignitaries.
