To improve the customer base further, India’s second largest public sector bank Punjab National Bank is going for the last mile connect, across the country. After inauguration of the 4th branch, PNB Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer S.S. Mallikarjuna Rao interacted with the media in Leh. He said that between the 2nd October and 31st of December, the Bank is going to connect with the public in Twenty Five Thousand villages through various branches in the country.He said Digitalization and social security schemes are main ingredients to reach to the customers in rural India. He also said, in the 1st phase, 225 cluster based MSME schemes to expand the business is planned and would formulate separate schemes depending on the local demands for the other clusters.
Mr. Mallikarjuna Rao advised the customers to take enough precautions while doing online transactions.
