Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the ‘Janaushadhi Diwas’ celebrations at 10 AM today via video conferencing. Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation the seven thousand 500th Janaushadhi Kendra at NEIGRIHMS, Shillong during the event.
Modi will interact with beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana and also awards give stakeholders by recognizing their to excellent work. Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers will also be present on the occasion.
Bhartiya Pradhan Mantri Janaushadhi Pariyojana endeavours to provide quality medicines at an affordable price. The number of stores under the scheme has grown to 7,499, with all districts of the country covered. Sales in the current financial year has led to total savings of nearly three thousand for common 600 crore rupees citizens.
