Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 19th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme from Bhagalpur in Bihar in a short while. The installment will be released to 9.8 crore beneficiary farmers via Direct Benefit Transfer. More than 22 thousand 700 crore rupees in assistance will be directly released to the bank accounts of beneficiaries of the scheme. The programme has been organised on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of PM KISAN. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and dedicate various development projects including farmers-related schemes in Bihar. He will address a public meeting at the Airport Grounds in Bhagalpur. Several farmers-related schemes will also be inaugurated on the occasion.
Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate a Regional Centre for Excellence for the breeding of indigenous varieties of livestock underthe Rashtriya Gokul Mission at Motihari. He will also dedicate a milk processing unit set up with a worth of 113 crore rupees at Barauni in Begusarai. The Prime Minister will also dedicate a newly doubled rail section of Nawada -Warisaliganj-Tilaiya. It has been completed with an amount worth over 520 crore rupees. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate 10 thousand Farmer Producer Organisations which have been constituted across the country.
Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other dignitaries will also remain present.
