Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that dark days of emergency can never be forgotten. He said, the period from 1975 to 1977 witnessed a systematic destruction of institutions. In a series of tweets today, Mr. Modi remembered all those countrymen who had resisted emergency and protected Indian democracy. He urged the people to do everything possible to strengthen India’s democratic spirit and live up to the values enshrined in our Constitution
