The birth anniversary of BJP icon and the founder ofBharatiya Jana Sangh, Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee is being celebrated today.
He was born on 6th of July 1901 in Kolkata. He was aprominent Indian politician, barrister and academician and served as theMinister for Industry and Supply in former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’sCabinet.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid tribute to Dr. SyamaPrasad Mukherjee on his birth anniversary.
In a tweet, Mr Modi said, his contribution to national unityand integrity will always be remembered. He also posted a video on the life ofDr Mukherjee.
