PM Modi Pays Homage To Tamil Poet And Freedom Fighter Subramania Bharati On His Birth Anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid homage to Tamil poet and freedom fighter Subramania Bharati on his birth anniversary today. Mr Modi said in a social media post that Subramania Bharati was a visionary poet, writer, thinker, freedom fighter and social reformer, whose words ignited the flames of patriotism and revolution among countless people.

Prime Minister added that Mr Bharati’s progressive ideals on equality and women’s empowerment are equally inspiring. Mr Modi will release the compendium of complete works of Subramania Bharati at his residence in New Delhi today. He lauded scholar Seeni Viswanathan for undertaking the effort to compile and edit the poet’s 23-volume set compendium. It contains details of the editions, explanations, documents, background information and philosophical presentation, among others, of the writings of Mr Bharati.
