PM Modi in Gujarat today, to declare India open defecation-free

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a day visit to Gujarat to mark the various functions in connection with 150th birth anniversary of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi today.

After reaching Ahmedabad airport in the evening, Mr. Modi will go straight away to Sabarmati Ashram to pay rich tribute the Mahatma Gandhi.

After that, he will address Swachcha Bharat Diwas 2019 function to be held at Sabarmati River Front in Ahmedabad. According to sources, this function will be attended by 20 thousand Sarpanchs coming from the different state, in which Mr. Modi will declare India as Open Defecation free country.

Later, Prime Minister will also visit Vibrant Gujarat Navratri Mahotsav at GMDC ground- in Ahmedabad and perform Arti with foreign dignitaries.

A series of functions have been organized in the state in connection with the celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
