Prime Minister Narendra Modi is chairing a meeting to review the COVID-19 related situation in the country amid the rising cases of Covid variant Omicron.
In a review meeting last month, Prime Minister had directed officials to work closely with state governments to ensure that there is proper awareness at the state and district level. He also directed that intensive containment and active surveillance should continue in clusters reporting higher cases. He stressed on adoption of Covid appropriate behaviour like masking and social distancing to avoid spread of Covid-19.
