Pakistan Army violates ceasefire along LoC in Poonch; Indian Army retaliates befittingly

In yet another ceasefire violation, PaK Army troops initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing along the LoC in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors of district Poonch in the afternoon today. 

PRO defence, Colonel Davinder Anand has said that PaK army troops initiated firing with small arms and thereafter heavy mortar shelling along the LoC in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors of Poonch district in the afternoon today at 1430 hours. 

The vigilant Indian Army troops, gaurding the fence are retaliating befittingly with equal caliber to silence the guns of the PaK army troops. 

The exchange of fire continued till reports last came in. Moreover, there are no reports of demage to any property and loss of any life, added the PRO.

This year so far, 1830 ceasefie violations by PaK army troops and Pakistani Rangers have been recorded along the LoC and International Border in the districts close to the LoC and International Border in Jammu and Kashmir.
