Over 8,000 tribal youths participate in Janjatiya Yuva Kumbh at Mahakumbh

Janjatiya Yuva Kumbh is being organised under the Janjati Sanskritik Samagam 2025 at Mahakumbh, Prayagraj today. Our correspondent reports that more than eight thousand tribal youths from across the country are participating in the Yuva Kumbh.

The year 2025 has been declared as Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh, to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda. As part of this celebration, a five-day Janjati Sanskritik Samagam is being organised at Mahakumbh. Addressing the gathering during the Yuva Kumbh, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Durgadas Uikey said, the youth of the country brings revolutionary changes in the society. He urged youth to work towards social harmony and make the country self-reliant.

The tribal youth took a pledge to protect the culture and tradition of Tribals. During the event, 25 youth from different states will be awarded, who have done excellent work for the tribal community. An exhibition related to tribal society has been organized and 120 cultural dance groups from across the country will participate and showcase their art.
