A total of 8 thousand 587 people returned toIndia yesterday under the Vande Bharat Mission. In a tweet, Union MinisterHardeep Puri said Vande Bharat is not just a mission that brought back strandedand distressed citizens but it is also a Mission of hope and happiness.
He added that the Mission has let people know thatthey will not be left behind even in the most testing times. Around 67.5million people have been brought back under the Mission so far.
The Indian government had launched Vande Bharat Mission, considered to be the world’s largest expatriation exercise to bring back stranded Indians from foreign destinations.
