In Punjab, as a precautionary measure after the Indian Army carried out strikes on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, the Border Security Force (BSF) is prepared to face any eventuality. Punjab shares 553 kilometer long border with Pakistan, which is manned by the BSF as the first line of defence.
Quoting official sources, Akashvani’s Correspondent reports that, the BSF is alert and ready for any eventuality that might crop up on the border in view of India’s action under ‘Operation Sindoor’. Meanwhile, schools in the border districts of Amritsar, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur and Pathankot have been closed for now. The District Collectors have issued orders in this regard after the Indian Army operation.
