In Odisha, Governor Raghubar Das and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi paid floral tributes to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 155th birth anniversary today in the Odisha Legislative Assembly premises. Speaker of the Odisha Assembly Surama Padhy and several state minister also paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary. On the occasion, Mr Majhi lauded the efforts of Prime Minister Narnedra Modi for significant steps towards promoting cleanliness and environmental sustainability with the launch of ‘Swachhata Abhiyan’. He shared his thoughts on X, highlighting the success of the Swachh Bharat Mission in creating a cleaner and healthier India. Thousands of people across the state are participating in the Swachhata Abhiyan today to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
