The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has begun its 4-weeks long Winter Internship programme, for post-graduate-level students. 80 students from different academic disciplines from various universities and colleges of the country are attending the program.
Inaugurating the internship program, NHRC Chairperson, Vijaya Bharathi Sayani urged the interns to reflect on their role in shaping the future of human rights in India. She encouraged them to contribute towards building a society wherein everyone has equal access to rights and opportunities and no one is left behind. Our correspondent reports that during the internship, the students will explore various aspects of human rights by the subject experts and field visits.
