Actually, under this bill, the government is not avoiding the followers of Islam religion, but the religion has objection to politicization.
New law against fundamentalism
France’s parliament recently voted on a new law proposal. It is believed that soon both the houses of Parliament will pass it. In the discussion in the lower house, the MPs expressed concern over extremist violence in the country.
A few months ago, the reference to the murder of a teacher who was strangled in broad daylight. In fact, the French government made a fresh attempt to rein in extremism after beheading a teacher on October last year.
Law is necessary to protect French values
In the discussion, President Emanuel Macron’s government said that legislation should be made to protect French values, gender-based equality and secularism. With this law, radical ideology can be attacked. Due to this ideology, violence is being promoted in the country.
Significantly, after the passing of this new bill, there will be a complete ban on foreign funding of religious organizations in France. Also, all religious organizations and mosques have to provide details of their income. In order to receive the subsidy given by the government, everyone has to sign an affidavit.
After the passage of this bill, if any organization criticizes the values of the republic, religious schools, mosques, etc., the government will have the right to close it immediately.
