However outside India temples are not so common but they do exist in every corner of the world. Surprisingly, they do see a good number of visitors, especially during festivals. Some of the temples are known for architecture, grandeur, and ancestry. With Ganesh Chaturthi around the corner, let’s have a look at some of the Ganesha temples outside India.
Sri Karphaga Vinayagar Temple, Sydney
Karphaga in Sanskrit stands for the wish-fulfilling celestial tree mentioned in ancient literature. It is believed that the tree fulfills the wishes of everyone standing it. Similarly, the temple is believed to fulfill all the wishes who offer prayers here with devotion. Apart from Lord Ganesha, you will also find idols of Vishnu, Ayyapa, Murugan, Navgraha, and Bhairava.
Sri Vakrathunda Vinayagar Temple, Melbourne
Established in 1992, Sri Vakrathunda Vinayagar Temple is the first Hindu temple in Melbourne. Since then the temple is known to fulfill the spiritual and cultural aspirations of thousands of devotees in Melbourne. In 2012, idols of Hanuman and Nagam were built in the temple.
