Union Government has said that more than 750 lakh tonnes of paddy has been procured in Kharif Marketing Season 2021-22 till 3rd of this month. Consumer Affairs Ministry said, over one crore eight lakh farmers have been benefited from the procurement with a Minimum Support Price value of over one lakh 47 thousand crore rupees. It said, the paddy procurement is progressing smoothly at MSP from farmers.
The Ministry said, the procurement of wheat has recently commenced in Rabi Marketing Season 2022-23 in Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh. Around 34 thousand 917 tonnes of wheat has been procured till 3rd of this month benefitting over three thousand five hundred farmers with MSP value of over 70 crore rupees.
