To increase the pace of the ongoing vaccination campaign in the country, the Ministry of Health has convened a meeting of the secretaries of some states. In this meeting, there was a discussion on increasing the daily vaccinations at the state and district levels.
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan on Saturday held a meeting with the secretaries of 6 states and 2 union territories in view of the sudden increase in corona cases in some states. Secretaries and Health Secretaries of Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi and Chandigarh were present in this meeting. Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan instructed all these states to bring the vaccination engineer on mission mode to protect them from Corona.
The meeting convened on Saturday morning reviewed the corona cases and measures taken to deal with it in all the eight states and union territories. According to the officials of the ministry, the meeting took information about the number of tests in these states and the report of vaccination. According to the report, the number of tests of corona has reduced significantly in 9 districts of Delhi, 15 in Haryana, 10 in Andhra Pradesh, 10 in Odisha, 9 in Himachal Pradesh, 7 in Uttarakhand, 2 in Goa and one district in Chandigarh. With less test in these districts, the work of finding contact with the corona infected is also decreasing while the positivity rate is very high.
The Ministry of Health has instructed all these states to increase the number of tests. With this, the program of vaccination of Corona rescue in these states has been asked to run on mission mode. For this, private hospitals have been asked to provide complete information to the beneficiaries.
