Maharashtra Govt unveils Cyber Crime Security Corporation to combat online threats

The Maharashtra government has issued the outline of the Maharashtra Cyber Crime Security Corporation (MCCSC). The state government claims that it will protect citizens, the state, and private sector companies from cyber crimes and related threats. The proposal to convert the Maharashtra cyber police into a corporation was approved during a cabinet meeting last month. As per the Government Resolution Act 2013, the corporation will be established under the Companies Act and owned 100 per cent by the state government. The authorised share capital of the Corporation shall be 200 crore rupees.
