An earthquake measuring 5.1 on Richter scale hits Leh in Ladakh last night.
Met department informed that the earthquake hit the region at 10.57 pm at a depth of 10 Km.
It shook the Leh region and the tremors were felt strong in Nubra, Karakoram and Lalok areas in Leh.
Kargil also felt the tremors.
So far no reports of damage received from any parts of Ladakh.
Since 22nd of September, this is fourth time Earthquake occurred with an intensity ranging between 3.7 to 5.4 on Richter scale in Ladakh region.
