Tamil Nadu girls have won the under-17 basketball title at Khelo India Youth Games in Guwahati. In an exciting final, Tamil Nadu defeated Rajsthan by 59 to 57 points. Punjab girls won the bronze medal in the under-21 category. They defeated Tamil Nadu. Kerala and Karnataka won bronze medals in boys and girls under-17 categories.
In Hockey, Haryana won Gold in girls under-17 category by defeating Jharkhand in a penalty shootout. Assam boy Golap Gogoi won gold in 81 kg weightlifting. Medals will also be decided in weightlifting and swimming events today. Maharastra is still leading the overall medal tally with 60 gold medals.
