Jal Jeevan Mission: 75% of households get drinking water through taps in Arunachal Pradesh

In Arunachal Pradesh, 75 percent of the households have been connected with clean drinking tap water connection under Jal Jeevan Mission.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a tweet has said that providing clean water to every household under the Jal Jeevan Mission is a big success in Arunachal Pradesh and of the 1.73 lakh targeted rural households, as of now 1.3 lakh are getting drinking water in the state.

He said that this feat is especially laudable since most of the households are in remote and tough locations.

Mr. Khandu expressed his happiness saying that taking potable water to these households was a huge challenge and it was achieved due to the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Prime minister Narendra Modi retweeting the post has said that 75% coverage in the time of Amrit Mahotsav is commendable, keeping in mind the difficult terrain in parts of Arunachal Pradesh.

He complimented the team for delivering the achievement and expressed his best wishes to complete the remaining part.
